Alhamdulillah,
We are honored to announce the publication of JISIERA Vol. 8, No. 2 (October 2025). Praise be to Allah Almighty for His continuous guidance and blessings, which enable us to sustain our mission of advancing scholarship at the intersection of Islamic studies and international relations. We also send our salutations to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), whose teachings continue to illuminate our pursuit of justice, peace, and intellectual integrity.
This edition presents a series of insightful and timely studies that critically engage with issues of migration, governance, gender, and diplomacy in the Muslim world. The featured articles collectively reflect the multifaceted struggles and negotiations of Muslim societies amid shifting global and regional dynamics, from the experiences of Muslim migrant communities in non-Muslim societies to the evolving patterns of political Islam, humanitarian crises, and state diplomacy.
Through this volume, JISIERA reaffirms its role as a platform for critical, interdisciplinary dialogue that connects Islamic perspectives with contemporary global challenges. We extend our deepest gratitude to all contributors, reviewers, and readers whose support sustains our vision for a more just and informed understanding of the Muslim world in international affairs.

Warm regards,
Editor-in-Chief
